This product is very good in theory, but in practice it does not meet the requirements. All of the individual components are fantastic and work great. It is beautifully finished and the materials are of the highest quality. The biggest problem (maybe the one I have?) is that the two insulating mugs that hold the carafe for travel convenience don't mix well together. This is a corkscrew design where one fits inside the other, they screw in and then unscrew to open. The problem is that they don't fit that well. I had where they got stuck and it actually took a small miracle to get them apart for fear I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or a bug specifically isolated from the bug I was getting. I have a friend who really liked it and she asked me to get her one for her birthday, but I will consider other brands as I don't want her to experience the frustration I feel about the incompatibility of use . It's a shame because it's really nice to use and hold.
