As you start screwing the parts together, screw them all the way into the 1st part, leaving the screws protruding from the back so they can easily go into the other part of the tree. When I lined this up with the wall mount I found that it was easier to screw everything to the wall and then remove the part to attach the drywall brackets than trying to take lots of measurements.2.
