Only two people were required to assemble due to confusing instructions. How to assemble this darn thing: 1) Remove the plastic cover 2) Remove the square washers and insert them into the center slots where the two pieces of metal meet 3) Pull the rods out to about the distance you want 4) Insert the screws 5 ) Rotate the plastic wheels until they expand and lose weight. 6) Reattach the plastic cover. For some reason my husband and I thought we should just widen it and then bolt it on. Obviously we were wrong and only had a misunderstanding and a moment of anger. The practical thing is that you have to use the extra space in awkward places. Cons: After rotating the dial at the notch in the metal, it resets and comes free. This means you only need to tighten about an extra inch after expanding the metal rods. I used my tiny space to place a wicker basket containing kitchen items (meat tenderizer, thermometer, voltage, etc.). It holds my kitchen utensils perfectly without fear of dropping them. I would bet €15 or more on it. All in all I recommend it. It took me 10 minutes to scratch my head but so far it's holding up!
