Review on πŸ” High-Quality Japan Hobby Tool Lens Sucker: Ideal for Camera Lens Repair by Jordan Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An effective tool, well done.

This is an efficient and safe tool for removing pin or slotted retaining rings that do not have a deep recess. This works especially well for seized rings that require more torque than traditional "parallel bar" type wrenches can provide. kit as standard; They are mentioned but don't seem to be offered outside of Japan. Two other technical suggestions: 1. The clamping screws that hold the tips are very small and have tiny JIS (+) heads. Their thread engagement is also very short, equal to the thickness of the sheet metal underneath. Therefore, both heads and internal threads are close to breaking when enough clamping force is achieved to hold the tips. A larger screw and better internal thread make the tool more reliable.2. The knurled locknuts sit at odd angles on the handles, making fine adjustment difficult and prone to accidental loosening. Simple washers will help; Spherical shims would be even better.
