Experience from day one, definitely worth $10! I wear a 38-40 in most pants and bought a 2XL, I probably have about 5-6 inches left of the buckle, just enough to put on but not enough to dangle. It fits perfectly through my usual belt loops on jeans. In terms of its holding power, it actually stays in place so well that it's a bit difficult to tighten! Feels good, the straps are quite thick but not unnecessarily. I really hope this plastic buckle holds up well although it seems pretty solid. Also, I usually carry a belt knife and the Techlock clip fits perfectly!
