Review on 🌧️ Weatherproof Ethernet Shielded Internet Connector by Paul Evangelista

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Only worth the money if you really need a router away from the modem.

I originally had a Cat-5 that came with my modem from the cable company. When I switched to this Category 8, my internet got a lot faster. Definitely worth the money upgrade I bought a new router and found that they have the same speed. It was actually slower than Cat 5 I had plugged into my new router because Cat 8 lagged so long and only gave my router 100 megabytes per second and my CAT5 was shorter it gave my router 120 megabytes per second so again because The shorter ethernet connector sent the signal faster because it didn't have to go as far as Cat 8, which was 10 feet, and the signal had to go farther, so it was slower. You just have to know that they have about the same speed after all. but a shorter cable sends a signal to your router faster. And when I plugged CAT5 back into my router (which is 3ft not 10ft) to my modem my signal sped up and with the new router it was even faster but with coil 8 going from the modem to the router connected, it slowed down because he had to move on. They really are moving at the same speed.

Pros
  • Thoode's Cat8 cable is well designed with pure copper core, aluminum foil shielding, woven mesh shielding, PVC outer jacket and two gold plated RJ45 connectors. With quality construction, Thoode's Cat8 patch cord is more durable and flexible for harsh environments. Because of the good water resistance and anti-corrosion function, it is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
