Review on 📸 UURig R031 Camera Selfie Flip Screen: Essential Accessory for Vlogging, YouTube Live Streaming, and Filmmaking with Sony/Nikon/Canon Cameras by Jason Bollinger

Almost perfect on accessory

Vloggers love the flip screen, but most interchangeable lens camera manufacturers are releasing more and more flip screens. As an added bonus, it adds 2 extra cold shoe mounting points (3 total) when mounted for an external microphone, remote shutter release and accessories, making it almost worth keeping the camera even when you're not taking selfies. Tied to the size of a periscope-style mirror (it's small) in the sense that it crops the LCD image it reflects on cameras like the Nikon Z6 or others with large screens. But with a bit of tweaking (depending on whether checking for headspace or bottom of frame takes precedence) it's still infinitely easier to frame selfies, check exposure/crosswalks, focus, framing, etc. Note that this is the case with a large number of mirrorless cameras, the more the viewfinder protrudes from the back of the camera, the more likely it is to hit the top of the frame and bounce off the mirror. It goes without saying that in a simple mirror all the menus are back, but this is mainly for checking composition and exposure, not camera settings. If your blogging camera has a tilting screen and you don't want to set up an external monitor for selfie shots, this is a very handy accessory to have with you. bag for the camera.

Not even close to a flip up screen.
