Skip the connecting pieces and simply trim them to cover the overlap for a sleek look.
Good product. They give you a lot of material to complain about, but it's so short that you have to connect it so many times for a short runtime. I trimmed the base so the lid reached to the next strip and it looked a lot better and was easier to assemble. By the way, if your coax cable isn't too thick, you can get it and the power cord in one strip.
