Bought these for my son's 12" Lightning McQueen bike which had sharp slick grips and got slippery when his hands were sweaty. Now that he is a more experienced rider (no training wheels and brave) he has lost control of the bike several times because of this. This is a very good soft rubber he loves and rips like crazy. Now there is no loss of control Update 01/19/17: These knobs were great but my boy hit the ends quite easily and his steering wheel became a paint hazard to any vehicle nearby. I had to switch to another pair with a stronger material for the steering wheel ends. Otherwise they have held up very well and were very persistent.
