I have been using this product for a while now and I can see that it will be a great tool for my photography. Very high quality fit and feel and can be customized for many camera applications. I see myself carrying it around in the field for use with both my DSLR and a small camcorder. Multiple tapped holes can be added to all sections if required. I added a cold hot shoe to mine to connect a remote mic. I can set up three sections to fit the needs of my recordings. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I thought the screw used to attach the camera to the base could have been better. A larger thumbscrew (not as big as the other blue locks) that fits in the rail and allows the screw to be finger tight would be ideal. Coin, small wrench or screwdriver to tighten. I usually have something on hand (other than a coin), but sometimes I don't. I was able to find a screw mount from another camera mount that works so far. See photo. This thumbscrew also allows me to mount it on a tripod without having to remove the mount. I recommend this product and look forward to using it.
