Review on πŸ”₯ Premium 1700W Steam Iron for Clothes with Fast Even Heat, Durable Scratch Resistant Stainless Steel Sole Plate, Advanced True Position Axial Aligned Steam Holes, Self-Cleaning Function by Rick Howlett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's an iron, but not that fantastic. Not so long before death.

This is a good iron, but not a great iron. It's about the same as the $20 Walmart iron it replaced (with a softer, longer cord and an auto shut-off with alarm). It's made in China, although it claims to be designed in Germany. My main concern is that there was water in the tank when I received it and there were scuff marks which made it look like it was used and not new. I got a refurbished iron for the price of a new one? All those five star reviews made me expect something nicer than a regular iron. It's light - until you fill it with water. It's got quite a large capacity, which is great, but it's a lot heavier. Actually, it's nothing to worry about. In the description/title this is referred to as "Professional level". That's just an exaggeration. This is a regular iron. A professional seamstress or dressmaker should have an iron with a large gravity-fed water tank and a flexible hose. Bottom line, it's a good iron, but not outstanding. It irons shirts and trousers like any other iron. There really is nothing to complain about. A good, cheaper iron would do the same. UPDATE After less than a year of use, the iron turns on, glows but does not heat. It's time to craft the old "Made in China Shuffle" - throw it away and buy another.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Bad instructions
