Foot hurts the most in shoes

Why do you make these shoes with tight seams in the tongue area? I bought these for my daughter for work and she said when she tried to put them on they were too tight and on her feet she put another pair of her sneakers in her closet and put them back in the box. People don't want uncomfortable shoes that hurt their feet, it's all about comfort. I'll send them back and get a refund.
