Better to be safe than fried ingredients

Bought this to protect my mum's camper van when traveling. She only goes to powered campgrounds about half the time, but she does get a chance to test the RV outlet before plugging her RV into it. I would plug the protector into an outlet and then plug the camper into the protector. Haven't tried it in the rain yet, but since it says it can't be submerged in water, I'm guessing it's rated for standard outdoor use in a wet environment. I am happy with my purchase and feel a little more confident when traveling
