I bought this item in January of this year and started swapping out cartridges because they were out of ink. First black, then purple and a month later yellow. My empty ink stopped working in early February, but I kept using it as writing letters with blue ink is acceptable, right? And then two more quit in early March. (See the example here?) By chance I bought a faulty product, I took a chance and bought branded cartridges for the car, and THIS! everyone went back to work. I don't blame the inks as they would be sporadic if they were the problem. The problem was in refillable cartridges. I would advise you to think twice before buying them.
