I've bought many, many expensive pillows from doctors, medical supply stores, etc. and mostly sleep on concrete. I have a herniated disc, scoliosis, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia and finding the right support with the right level of comfort was a nightmare until I found this pillow. He's low on buoyancy, and if that's important to you then don't even consider it. Also, it is best suited for side sleepers. It has been perfect for me so far as it provided the support I needed without putting pressure on sensitive fibrous areas and kept my head and neck in a comfortable, anatomically correct position. MY ONLY COMPLAINT is the pillowcase. It takes a lot of effort to put it on a pillow, so now I probably won't clean it as often as I should. If there was a way to close it that would be great. However, I believe this can increase costs and make a site less convenient. My husband speculated that the reason the pillow retained the support it offered was due to the very tight cover and this may be true. One day I'll have to test this theory by putting a regular pillowcase on top of this bow pillow and looking. Years.
