Arrived quickly, well packaged and in excellent condition. The device works great as advertised unless plugged into a router port. Purchased for use with TP-LINK Archer C5400 with USB 3.0. The idea was to connect two 500GB laptop drives via an external hub power supply. Connecting three different brand hubs stopped transferring data. A word of caution for TP-Link router owners: even after lengthy contact with TP-Link technical support, the router has not reconfigured the drive connected to this hub. I replaced the HDD with a 1GB stick. Don't have any refurbished hub devices yet. I was also fed up with two other proprietary 4-port hubs, both active and passive. Vain. This review should warn TP-Link router owners that TP-Link is not being honest about the router's USB port limitations. The TP-Link router is underpowered and can only deliver 0.86mVA to a data device at a time. As a result, USB devices that rely on power for more than just communication may not work. This is a router. Not this knot.
