These are nice and strong leverage clamps. but i love black! I took them because their lighter clamps didn't seem to open wide enough without fear of breaking. They hold my leather work gloves perfectly without me having to worry about them. Thinner gloves/items can slip off if you don't gather enough material under the teeth of the grip area to hold it in place. The lighter clips work best with thinner gloves, but I still find them the most useful.
