Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Patu 2 Packs Rotating Desk Extension Elbow Pad Armrest - Ergonomic Aluminum Arm Stand for Professional Computer Monitor Working by Todd Amarsingh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

To be too good to be true.

no wonder 2 of them are cheaper than 1 ergorest. I have an Ergorest at work and due to Covid I am not allowed to come back and collect it for home use. With this in mind, I needed a home solution and I thought this might be a good solution. The price was right, the reviews were encouraging, and it was in stock! Well, no comparison to ergorest. Here's the kicker: 1. These handles are metal, which I liked, but the plastic part that goes under the table isn't connected to the screw at all. It doesn't matter because once it's attached, it really can't come off. 2. Flash on plastic parts is terrible. I cut myself tightening the mount because there were a lot of sharp edges. Sharp areas aren't just there. They are everywhere. even armrest.3. The armrest sucks. It's hot, your hand sweats, it looks incredibly cheap and pointless. The edge of the plastic is higher than the soft part in the middle, so there are big dents on the hand as the soft part is not the first part that comes into contact with your hand. For short-term use, it doesn't matter, but if you use it for a few hours, it bites your hand and becomes quite uncomfortable. The soft part is not even stuffed like Ergorest. It's literally plastic with fluffy things glued to it. It's literally like putting your hand on fluffy plastic. No comfort at all.4. Ergonomics: While the adjustability of the Ergorest is on par, the point of this armrest is lost as there is almost no maneuverability along the 2nd arm segment. It's so tight it barely moves and it's very annoying. When you move your arm up, the joint doesn't rotate at all, it just moves as a unit, so your arms can't move naturally. The center pivot freezes with even the slightest pressure. The lube didn't help at all. All in all, I don't recommend it to anyone. It doesn't do what it's supposed to do and the build quality/quality control is below par. I better send them back than they came because I took the time to remove all the sharp plastic parts and oil the pins so they at least move. :/ Do yourself a favor - hit the ball and just ergorest. There is no substitute.
