Trust me when I say I believe in quality cables and have them. I just don't believe in spending a lot of money on it; in this case only 50/60 dollars depending on the type. Along with this, I purchased an AudioQuest Pearl (1.5m) cable to replace my Belkin Gold Series (6ft) USB cable to interface between my PC and the $1,000 Teac UD-503 DAC. .While this is a nice cable, it performs no differently than an $8 Belkin cable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting cheap cables by any means, and if you google "2013 TAS Editors' Choice Awards: Digital Interconnects" you'll see that the Belkin Gold Series took third place among others. more expensive cables from The Absolute Sound. The bottom line is that you don't have to spend a lot of money on cables to get quality performance. Looking back, I probably could have saved $28 (what I paid) if I had stayed with Belkin. However, the finish and aesthetics of this cable are very good; and the $28 price range is worth trying. I rate 5 for craftsmanship and aesthetics. In terms of performance, I really don't see it doing better or worse than any other quality cable.
