The mouse appears to be plastic while the old m65 was steel which gives the mouse a more realistic look. Aside from the "plastic" feel, the mouse was actually pretty good as I've always been a fan of that line of mice. I had the old version for about 3+ years and I'm just starting to have problems. The problem I have with this mouse is the cursor. When the mouse works, it works, but at random times the cursor just stops responding and doesn't move at all until I turn the mouse off and on again. At this point, the mouse works until it decides it's no longer needed. I play a lot of games as this has caused me to die multiple times in competitive games, resulting in a loss or making the game harder than it should be. Except for the cursor issue with my mouse. This product is very good. Will update the review when this gets fixed. PS I updated the mouse code base. (Firmware) Edit: After several firmware updates and waiting, cursor tracking no longer crashes. I'm still not a big fan of plastic as it seems to detract from the quality of the mouse, but it's certainly serviceable.
