I had to replace the original cable on my Acer Aspire R laptop because my 1 year old cat chewed through the cable (wasn't plugged into an outlet). I chose this cable as a replacement because it was listed as a Revain choice. I should have looked more closely, another seller had an original Acer grounding cable (3 pin) for the same price and free shipping. The part that sticks into the hole, the silver part, isn't exactly the same as my original cable. The silver portion has a pin-sized hole that attaches to a stylus in the laptop when inserted; The hole in this cord is slightly larger. To charge it I had to look for a corner that was connected internally. If I let go of it, it lost its charge and I had to plug it into my laptop to keep it running. I sealed a photo of it with tape, I don't have a single hole.
