As someone with a background in fashion design, I'm always on the lookout for quality tools for my projects. I usually stick with brands I know. When one of my co-workers raved about these scissors, I decided to give them a try and I'm very glad I did. These are not your typical fabric scissors at a craft store. Heavyweight and durable, they can work with a variety of materials including heavyweight denim and canvas. They are oiled so please do yourself a favor and wipe off the excess with a piece of muslin or other cotton fabric before you begin. The blades are nice and sharp so you can make clean, sharp cuts without worrying about snagging or tearing through the fabric. I love that the scissors also come with a handy seam ripper and tape measure - both are never enough and that was a nice little bonus. I look forward to making these scissors my workhorse for future sewing and design projects. Overall, it's great value for money and I'm happy with my purchase.
