This is a great device for a laptop or books! I bought for my child's home e-learning. It goes very well with her desk. Below are some pros and cons after 10 days of use: Pros: - Nice aluminum body. Stable but doesn't feel heavy at all. - The connection is well tightened so it won't move once you set the position. - It's good to have a screw tightening tool in the kit in case the original screw loosens over time. But I have stopped using it after a few days of setting it up and using it. - The top can be adjusted so you can use it for a book too. - The aluminum mouse pad looks a bit strange. but nice to have as a spare mouse pad. Cons: - It may be a bit difficult to adjust the position at the beginning as the screws are tight. (but you'll get used to it and appreciate it, so the position is hard to change) - My mouse pad didn't flatten out for some reason. but I still don't use it
