Review on IBasingo Titanium Ultralight Wearproof Backpacking by Brian Whitmore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Can't beat the quality for the price.

When this bottle arrived I first washed it several times with hot soapy water, let it dry, then filled it halfway with Russell's reserve solution and let it sit for several hours. I did a bottle comparison and felt I could detect a metallic aftertaste, so I topped up with 91% isopropyl alcohol and some kosher salt (if you know, you know) and gave it a good shake for a minute or two. Rinse again and drink some clear water out of it and there was no flavor (there was no noticeable residue of bourbon or iso/salt, btw; I poured both into clear glasses to test). Compared to the $150 Snow Peak bottle, this one loses out only because it's not round. Otherwise, it has the light, bulky, banging experience I'm looking for from a Titan. and it has a lanyard for the lid, which is important as I usually wear it when I go skiing and can't afford to drop the tiny titanium lid. Not sure about durability yet, but I don't beat my gear to death, so I have high hopes. If nothing bad happens to this bottle I will definitely be giving away a few for Christmas.
