I have a lot of nails, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, wire nuts and various other accumulated items that I have broken down into small pieces since retirement. , plastic cabinets. I also have some things (large electrical fittings, panel covers) that don't fit because their shape would require cutting some solid dividers (an option). I can just put them in an overflow box (black hole) or decide if I really need to keep them. Since some gaps end up only partially filled, the weight doesn't seem too much for the plastic, but when each gap is filled to the top with smaller screws, nuts, bolts, and other heavy objects, things can get tricky. Pick up from a corner with one hand without stressing the locks or hinges. I wouldn't want it to open and slosh, but so far I haven't seen it. I turned them over, hung them by the tongue, shook them and tested their strength in every way I could, and they held their shape, kept everything in their little compartment, stayed closed and unharmed. I wouldn't hesitate to put them in my bag and take them with me if I need to help someone with something. That's something I couldn't even consider with the drawers! I'm a bit nervous about leaving them hanging from hooks on a pegboard for a long time, but if I hadn't stuffed them with such heavy metal I think this is a good option. They stack well, but I'll probably build something to store them in long drawers under my desk so I can see them at a glance. The locks click and it's hard to say how long they will last, but so far they seem very secure.
