We started to enforce manual driving prior to this purchase but the magnet was a game changer for my little "vag". It helps my almost 3 year old forget to stay in one place and he really looks forward to going to a 'safe place' while he waits his turn. It used to gradually move away from me (accidentally), but the presence of a magnet keeps it from slowly slipping from where I want it to be. He's also so proud of himself that he knows the procedure every time we approach the car.
