Review on Rothco Infant Receiving Blanket: Cozy Woodland Comfort for Your Little Ones at Home by Michelle Bonner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product but not what I expected.

Pros: - Thick and gets really warm when the temperature starts to drop - Very light pattern, it's almost the same as the picture - Quite big and should be big enough for toddlers - Fabric can I suggest myself Cons: - The pattern is one-sided - It's really stiff. I was looking for blankets that I could wrap my two month old son in and he could kick without him pulling the blanket down. He likes being swaddled, but he still likes being able to move his legs and likes resistance. As much as I love the camouflage pattern, it's only on one side and personally I'm not a huge fan, and the blanket has NO stretch. In fact, it is very hard and rough, almost starched. This will likely go away after you wash it a few times, but it's a little awkward considering it's a baby blanket. Although the blanket is really warm (hence thermal) and quite large, it would make a great car blanket. In general, the purchase is successful, just not quite what I was looking for. My package arrived earlier than expected and if you are looking for something warm, durable and functional this is a good product. I'll update the starch info when I put it in the washer and dryer a few times. UPDATE: A couple of times in the wash (I did it with fabric softener once) and it worked. I'm glad I bought two because they make the perfect travel duvet. It's not a soft cashmere blanket, but it's a nice blanket to throw around and I don't care if it's got carrot puree or baby cereal on it. All in all, I am very happy that I bought them.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Something is wrong
