When connected to USBC, the maximum speed is about 30MB/s for writing and about 80MB/s for reading. Can't say I'm overly impressed as it can't even hit class 10 at 10MB/s, 30MB/s for a while, hitting some small clusters of files and dropping to 1MB/s every now and then. But for the job I need it for (3DS) it's great for the money. Can probably support 30MB/s without much start and stop for task switching. This may work for u3 devices, but don't expect them to get what they promise high or deliver what they promise low. Overall I like it and I like the price but I'm deducting a star because I'm dirty fiction. There's not much difference between this and the standard 500x u1 other than some spikes over 80 for a split second. I think every little thing helps.
