Case Logic 306 and 304

The 306 is a larger version of the 304. Both models offer very good value for money. I originally bought the smaller 304 for my Sony mirrorless camera and kit lens. The 304 bag is perfect for this. However, I bought a larger lens for it. The camera and lens fitted but were tight and I had to flip the lens hood to attach it. So I ordered a large pocket 306. My Sony and lens are more than adequate, even with the lens hood on. I put some bubble wrap on the bottom for extra protection, although the bottom of the bag is padded. There is also room for a neck/wrist strap. The 304 has an internal slot in the main compartment, which I really liked, as that's where I put the lens cap when shooting. For some reason the 306 doesn't have this slot. Oddly enough, the smaller 304 also has handy stretch-mesh slots in the side pockets for things like a USB cable or memory card. The larger 306 doesn't have them. It seems they should be in a big bag, but maybe not in a smaller one. Even though both bags offer very good value for money, Case Logic has made some compromises: Both bags only have one zipper for the main compartment, not two. I think a large 306 bag should have two so you can open it at either end. And the included neck/shoulder strap is as easy and cheap as it gets. I decided to keep both bags. I use the 304 bag to store extra batteries, original kit lenses, blow brushes, etc. and I use the 306 bag to carry the camera and use it as a shoulder strap with the strap fully extended.
