Don't buy an 82mm lens cap or a lens hood. This size is wrong. UPDATE: 77mm thread
filter threads for lens caps or lens hoods with non-82mm threads. I just bought an 82mm lens cap and lens hood and found them too big. It looks like it should be a 73mm x 75mm thread. However, the 72mm thread for my lens is correct and works well. Update November 4th, 2020: I ordered an adapter ring from 77mm to 82mm. The ring fits and means it is a 77mm thread, not 82mm for the cap and hood. If you buy this filter, you need a lens hood and lens cap for 77mm thread.
