This is basically a working cordless drill. This is sufficient for simple household chores, but there are a few things to consider. First, the drill comes with screwdriver bits, but no drill. If you already have them on hand, fine. You are hired. However, if you buy this kit without realizing that it doesn't come with drill bits, you'll be disappointed, look for drill bits and then do another shopping spree, maybe locally if you have an urgent job. However, this is only one thing. I hope you're already there. Now to the work itself. Batteries are charged quickly and easily in the charging station, so no problem. The only real operational problem is the torque switch. This is a plastic switch that is pretty finicky. I hope you need to set a different setting for the drill setting than the screwdriver setting. However, the plastic switch itself isn't the most obvious and intuitive when combined with the speed setting. Do you alternate between 1 and 2 and are you clear whether 1 or 2 is for drilling? It's not obvious to me, and the plastic switch can get stuck until you mess with it. This is the biggest problem in the company. However, it just requires some fiddling. The drill also serves its purpose. The trigger has the right sensitivity so you don't loosen screws when using a screwdriver, control a drill and all that. Basically, if you have a variety of drills and don't mind a bit of fuss when switching between drill and screwdriver settings, it's fine , which is a minor annoyance. It works out. I docked it a bit because I wish the magnet was stronger to hold the bits. However, this element is easily replaceable.
