This was literally the worst item I have ever bought. After finally assembling it and loving it at first, I noticed that it was literally covered in fleas! I didn't notice at first because they are so small and who would have thought you had to try something 'new' until I turned parts of the bed over and noticed loads of fleas and even eggs. I was so angry and scared that I sprayed alcohol on everything and threw it away! I literally flooded almost my entire house! Remember my kitten is a house cat, she never leaves the house so no there was no other way for fleas to get there. I've never written a bad review in my life, but I couldn't NOT talk about this incident. I have so many injuries I keep cleaning my house because of this damn thing.
