The fibre/mesh hybrid tip has been my favorite since I discovered it. It glides over almost any surface without much resistance and the touchscreen/touchpad/pin-pad always picks up your touch. Downforce can be more than a rubber tip, but not by much. I've used it on touchpads when my finger wasn't smooth enough, on any glass or polymer touchscreen with almost no issues. If you are a hunter and don't need to write smoothly on the surface, a rubber tip is better for you. I sign on my smart device screen so the fiber mesh tip is perfect! However, the function of the ink pen is not particularly good. You have to turn over to expose the ink tip of a ballpoint pen, and it often starts to retract while you're still writing. Annoying, but if you're careful with the device you shouldn't have too many problems. I prefer to open a pen with a click or trigger rather than a twist. You get 4 pens AND the ability to convert any of them into a rubber tip if you prefer typing to writing. This is a clear 100% recommendation on my part, with the exception of the ink pen. A great stylus for ANY user, but not a perfect ballpoint pen.
