When I connected the TV antenna cable to one of those 90 degree connectors, the filaments didn't get caught because the center conductor in the cable didn't fit all the way in (Figure 1). On closer inspection, the depth (where the conductive wire sits) is very shallow. I used a piece of wire to measure the depth of the seat; As shown in Figure 2, you can see by the blue label or arrow that this product (gold plug) is significantly smaller than the one purchased elsewhere (silver plug). The cable easily connects to the silver connector (Figure 3). Therefore, this product is not suitable for use with conventional cables. It is designed in such a way that there is usually no sleeve that provides contact and a reliable connection. Rather, there is a small insulating collar and then a metal plate that the conductor must make precise contact with. Any deviation such as B. changing the length of the lead wire, the number of turns to tighten, and even repeated use can result in poor connection or no connection at all. There are many negative reviews here complaining about this product and this might be the main reason. When using this connector, be prepared to buy matching cheap coaxial products from the same manufacturer/supplier. It will not work with TVs purchased from high end audio or electronics stores. I bought three TVs thinking they could be used with my other TVs. I plan to return them. The rating must be zero stars!
