Expensive but functional hard napkins

This is an imitation pebbled print printed onto a piece of thin melamine. It wasn't what I expected, but the napkins held up well to everyday meals. I can put hot plates on it without churning the surface, the stains rub off easily, and they don't take up much drawer space. I thought the price for four printed melamine squares was too high, but looking back these doilies look beautiful, functional and durable.
