Review on Sumptuous French Linen Duvet Cover Set by Simple&Opulence by Marco Mooney

When I bought this blanket I was very excited. I felt it when it came in and it's so scratchy and uncomfortable on the skin. It was also incorrectly advertised as 100% washed linen right in the title. It is not. It is a blend of 55% linen + 45% cotton. At least they seem to have since changed some of the info to reflect this, but it's still hugely inconsistent, saying 100% linen in some places and a blend in others. I have linen pads from another company that are 100% linen and are very soft and pretty. It is in no way comparable. Unfortunately we got stuck because the return window ended when I unexpectedly had to leave town. I tried softening the fabric by washing it with vinegar as someone said it might soften the wash. A few months later he's still scratchy and so horrible that I can't sleep when he touches me, so I'm back to square one with no sheets. I do not recommend. It was a waste of money. I'm not usually that tough and this was on the low end for a "linen blanket" but as far as I know it's rubbish and I lost a hundred dollars that would have been better spent if it had been put down. to a real linen blanket. Trust the people who said it wasn't soft. I really hope I can save someone the mistake I made by buying this one.
