Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Epson Expression Photo XP-970: Ultimate Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier by Scott Lavimodiere

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Absolute waste of time, money, resources.

The print makes a good impression. usually. I often find this leaves streaks on the pages and smudges the ink and I can't find the reason for this. The washing machine is clean, the rollers are clean, the printer is fairly new. Another problem is wasting paper, when a cartridge is empty it spits out the unfinished page and asks for a new cartridge. When you replace a cartridge, it lands on a new sheet of paper, wasting two sheets of paper. Cartridges are a joke. You replace one, it cleans/primes, and then drains the other cartridge. You get in a loop when you clean other cartridges by replacing them. The firmware is absolutely STUPID. Everything you do is overly complicated by a wall of dialogue and options. The default colors in the photos are really bad, I had to create my own profiles to get the best colors and even then the dark blue looks purple. The printer is great when it works, but it's not worth the hassle of maintaining it. You can get the best printers on the market.
