My partner bought a pink battery that had a useless light (the filing disc blocked the light). This one is much smoother and handles files better. The light works on it too because of the way it's designed. If you buy it for your child I would recommend it. I trimmed my baby's skin twice with nail scissors because it was moving and I couldn't see well. This will file the nail without damaging your child's skin. It is wonderful. Sometimes I use it for myself too. I also like that it is rechargeable.
