My old nook simple touch book with backlight broke (the case broke, it works by itself). Decided to get a replacement. I saw the color book and of course I couldn't resist buying it. I imagined how I would read color PDFs. I looked at the book in the store. But not a single file was uploaded there, so after looking at the menu, I decided to take it. As it turned out later, the stores have very bright lighting and the grayness of the screen is not so noticeable. Having studied the book at home, I was disappointed - my old book of which for almost 15 years looks whiter than this one. And significantly ((( And as it turned out, I usually read books in black and white)) I read magazines - my wife compared the colors with old newspapers. Really very similar. I thought for a very long time, I wanted to hand over this book, but in the end I decided to leave it. Get used to these shortcomings. Now such a grayish screen no longer causes problems - the backlight is almost always on, this drains the battery, and it is only 2022 mAh. I think more should have been added. But I have enough for a week. And of course, I don’t understand why they saved so much on memory ?! 32 GB! ! Today is harsh?! At 22?! Yes, this is a reader in the first place, but in this book they offer to listen to audio and install third-party applications. I just loaded the library from the old book and the memory has already become half as much. Of course you can live, but it's a shame) And yet, there was some kind of failure in the software and the curtain setting from the menu disappeared. Now I can't change it Despite all these shortcomings, I use the book, I got used to the color, the old book began to look dull. Moreover, the price scares away, I don’t even want to remember, but 34 thousand were given away. Also buy a cover separately + 4 thousand, it's very expensive. I read my comment and I don’t know why I took such a book. But it’s already a pity to return, I got used to it quickly. And I use it with pleasure. But I recommend thinking 100 times whether you need it, most likely it’s better to take the same but b / w.
