Very functional, inexpensive and fun remote control

I love experimenting with long exposures with this remote control. The instructions were a bit confusing but not enough to lower my score. As with a regular remote shutter release, you use the large round button on the remote to release the shutter, but for long exposures you program the remote and then use the button below to "upload" your program to a receiver attached to the camera display the right side of the remote control with the Play/Stop icon. When the camera is in "bulb" mode, the receiver takes control and "plays" the exposure sequence you programmed. Once you get the hang of it, you can program long exposures (up to 99 minutes); well beyond the normal range of manual settings on most cameras. I bought it for the ability to program shutter speeds longer than 30 seconds, but it also works great as a regular remote shutter or interval timer for taking time-lapse photos. Can't comment on range as I tried it not very far from my camera. This remote is a lot more functional than a basic remote shutter release, and considering the cost, I think it's a steal. This gives you the opportunity to try something new with your photography. This remote control is much more functional than a simple remote shutter release, and given the cost, I think they're a bargain.
