I bought this mount while looking for the perfect suction cup mount for my GoPro. I've found that in some cases GoPro actually got the design of their accessories right, and in other cases they were a bit off. This is one of the most recent cases. First, the suction cup works well. It is very similar to the mount I chose for my GoPro and attaches securely to any smooth, clean surface. If this is the limit of your requirements, this mount will make you happy at a great price. The downside to this mount is its commitment to the idea that people might only want to adjust their shots in 90-degree increments. All GoPro extensions use fixed elbows instead of ball joints, which can be just as secure. Since you cannot turn the suction cup when installed, a ball joint extension helps here. I ended up replacing that mount with another that offers this capability and I couldn't be happier. I can't imagine struggling with this mount in some configurations that my other suction cup mounts handle with ease. Overall, this mount outperforms basic ball mounts in terms of price and range of extensions (most basic ball mounts have very short arms), but the more complete ball mount kit caters to a wider variety of scenarios.
