Excellent quality but not much narrowing.
This is a solid piece of aluminum with rubber inserts that fits well on most bikes. The foam insert on the inside is also pleasant to the touch. It doesn't taper very much when viewed live, it's almost straight up and down. It's still a great product, but I would buy it first and your coffee mug second for the best fit.
