I've been using these bed extenders since high school (when I first ran out of storage in my room and needed more space under my bed!) and have always loved them. They're not the best quality I've had, but they work. They're currently under our Ikea wood-framed queen-size bed, giving us enough space to put our suitcases under the bed, and they're sturdy enough for two people to sleep (and be awake, um) on the bed. There are some design issues that will be addressed. typical of 90% of bed risers: the headboard, for example, can't be pushed against the wall because the base of the risers protrudes about 2 inches from the bed itself, leaving a slightly awkward gap between the headboard and the wall that the cat tries to get stuck to stay. and while the packaging claims they can only be placed head or foot under a sloping bed (good for certain health issues), it seemed a lot less stable when we had the bed in the head/feet down position, enough that I could make sure the side you put them on is pressed against the wall so they don't slip or tip. Only use them to raise the platform evenly.
