My cat loving child loves this dress and gets lots of compliments wearing it. The fabric is what you would expect from a polyester/spandex blend - soft, smooth, stretchy and flowy. The child who owns the dress loves the texture and finds it very comfortable, but my other children can't take it so be aware if the intended recipient has texture sensitivities. So far it has held up well with no noticeable fading or wear after a few washes. I'm a size 8-9 - baby 8, on a high side, starting to outgrow size 7-8. It suits her well and long enough.
