I haven't spent a TON of time walking in these, but for an hour or 2 at a time they've been great. No weird placement of straps, nothing digging in, the only thing that was rubbing was when I got sand in between my heel and the back strap (which is, of course, not the fault of the sandal).I love that all the straps (toe/ankle/heel) are individually adjustable to get the perfect fit. It's often difficult to get a good fit in sandals that only let you adjust the ankle strap.These sandals look great and passed the test for the beach, but I look forward to putting them to the test the next time we're able to go exploring in the river.
