I bought this for my 17 inch laptop. Most bags are designed for 15 inch laptops. This one said it could fit a 17 inch. I looked up and saw what appeared to be a small zipper hole at the top. My laptop didn't fit in and slid precisely and securely. There was ample padding on the front and back. There should be more below.
