Bought this tablecloth knowing full well that it's not "fabric" but something like a lace tablecloth. I needed something that would cover the table and be easy to wipe clean without throwing it all in the wash. This cover meets the requirements. Love it so much I bought 4 more (5 total) for events so I don't have to wash the fabric tablecloths. I used a lighter beige and it gets dirty easily. Lesson learned, go with a darker color. I bought dark chocolate to replace the colored one. Problem solved! I love the golden color of peanut butter - I can't remember what the manufacturer calls it, but it's a great color for covering up crumbly bits of food. The table always looks ready/laid. I just love how they have improved the look of my dining and kitchen tables in two of my homes. I wish they made the rectangular table even bigger because I have a bigger table in my mountain home and it would work great. In the meantime, I'll use the two extra tissues that are still in their wrappers on this table next time I visit my country house. I don't mind overlapping tablecloths, and they're beautiful alone or overlapped. There are only 2 cons: 1) When you take it out of the box for the first time, it smells like rubber/plastic. It takes a little while for the smell to go away. So plan accordingly for the smell to dissipate; and 2) it takes time for the fabric/rubber/plastic wrinkles to smooth out. It came out of all the tablecloths I took out of the packaging. It takes a while but it comes out. I tried attaching an iron with a thermal barrier. It was of no use. So I just left it. This smoothed out the wrinkles/folds.
