Review on Mobile Fidelity Record Cleaning Brush by Kevin Hawkins

These are great brushes for both wet and dry cleaning! I have three of these, one for dry cleaning and two for wet cleaning. I originally bought it for dry cleaning. Then they bought me a Record dr vacuum cleaner so I could try it wet. Well, the cover came off immediately. I've seen reviews mentioning this so I'm not surprised. The next morning after drying, the seal stuck again. It doesn't dissolve the glue, it just loosens it. Since it's designed for wet cleaning, there appears to be a manufacturing issue. So I grabbed a rubber band to hold the pillow in place. Even without it, the pad didn't slip off the rubber. I read another review that mentioned that the replacement pads stick when they get wet. I can only order to test. I will change this review if I do. Anyway the tape worked great and I really like the look. Additionally, when I'm sitting on the edge, it keeps the rubber free of debris that might be on the surface. After cleaning I rinse with distilled water, press down with a lint free cloth and when it dries the adhesive sticks like new! I'm going to use a different color rubber band so I can line up the two wet cleaning brushes, one for detergent and the other for rinsing with ultrapure water, can be easily identified. For the second intermediate cleaning I use another brush with Record Doctor bristles. A very effective combination! As mentioned in other reviews, a few strands will fall off at the ends. It's okay, I have scissors to cut them off. Don't drag them! After some loosening, it stabilizes and only rarely needs to be shortened. Even with glue and minor scuffs, this is an amazing brush. So don't send it back, take the rubber band and scissors with you and keep this little beauty for yourself. I hope they fix the issues in future production but for now I can handle it.
