I have 4 cats and need to check everything. Bought a new couch and researched different ways to stop scratching, found a panther. I wasn't sure at first, but I ordered it together with two scratching posts that can be attached to the edges of the sofa (also work). When I received my Panther I was surprised that it wasn't flimsy plastic. It's like a laminated sheet and it sticks directly to the sofa, it can also be removed leaving nothing behind. I used multiple pivots. It is visible there and on one without due notice unless you point it out. My cats don't even scratch the sofa. This material would save me a lot of furniture and I feel better about future purchases knowing what to protect. The leaves can also be trimmed if needed, but they are a decent size. I have about 4 left. You will have to replace them over time, nothing lasts forever but they are good quality and as long as you don't keep taking them off they should last a long time.
