These unwrapped socks are nice and soft, but after wearing them once my daughter looked like she'd spent a year shoeless in the desert. The soft exterior was almost destroyed. It was as if the cloth had been brushed over and over again, and every little bit of grass it came in contact with was still stuck to it. At first I thought she was being careless and rolled on the playground, ruining her socks. Then I dressed her up in a white pair to wear to the fall carnival and in the middle of the night they looked almost as bad as before. She didn't play at all that night, she just walked around. Just the fact that the denim of her pants was rubbing against her socks made it look like she'd had them for years. I hate that they didn't work because I usually love everything from this company but for me this just wasn't a winner.
